Recently, it has been brought to my attention that marriage based on
love by itself may bring you to regret your decision in the future.

A senior of mine did mention that there are 2 types of people in this world.
The stupid and the smart!

The stupid will marry a girl that's smart and poor.
The smart will marry a girl that's stupid and rich.

As for myself, all these while I have been basing love just under affection.
Never against money or status as I thought that they are superficial things.
Because I seek permanent reason, I chose love to be the reason.
If you add money and status into the equation, love will become some sort of investment instead of something which will make your life meaningful. (Unless you find meaning in being rich or having an easy life-style because you marry someone for their superficial reason).

As of the moment, I may think this way because I am still young.
I am unsure if I will change my thinking later in life, but all I know is that I have always thought of love this way ever since I was young because what I know is that status is only as good as your accomplishment and money is only good for what is worth and that it can be spent. Both are not a permanent reason to which you might want to base your relationship upon.

What I find to be a permanent reason is LOYALTY.
Someone to be there to help you, to support you always whenever you're in trouble!
I still believe that THAT is what you call true love!

Perhaps what is needed is a clear picture of what god meant when god bestowed the ten commandments upon us.

As clearly stated in one of god's teaching, that is FORGIVE and FORGET.
Yes people do mean things to you and as a human being, you are supposed to forgive those who has sinned against you. Revenge does nothing but bear hatred towards everyone and in the end, even if the person you hate dies, nothing is accomplished as misery is all that's left in your heart.

To forgive is indeed a big deal. Perhaps it is honorable, kind and generous. But to forget? If indeed as mentioned before that the purpose of pain is to remind us of what will hurt us so that we will be stronger and perhaps be kinder to people as we know how it feels, how can we so easily forget what caused that pain in the first place?

The moment you remember your pain, you will also remember the incident. The more you remember the incident, you will feel injustice and perhaps hatred will be born once again in your heart. So how can you 'forget' it altogether? Indeed Jesus has came to the earth to truly explain what the teachings of god is, but Jesus is no longer here and we must find the answer ourselves. God's in his heaven, all's right with the world!
